In order to make the Gala fun and exciting for all in attendance, we had several give aways, games, and raffles that enabled Arms of Care to thank our guests as well as raise funds for the organization. We kicked off with a Get to Know You GIVE game in which everyone tried to meet 16 new people who met the criteria on the card like “I am from Haiti” or “I have been on 5+ mission trips.” By all accounts, this was a fun activity that resulted in one lucky winner getting a Spa Kit Gift Basket that included oils and lotions and all goodies required to have a wonderful spa day at home. Later in the evening, we raffled
off a two night stay at the Renaissance that included breakfast for two as well as parking. We also had a 50/50 raffle in which 50% of the proceeds collected were given to the winner and 50% to Arms of Care. We closed the evening with our final giveaway which was a Café Gift Basket filled with coffees, teas, scones and even a thermos for that morning wake me up. While not everyone was a winner over the course of the evening, everyone had the opportunity and Arms of Care certainly won with the generous contributions during the raffles as well as donations.
