It Takes A Village

The Planning committee for this year’s Gala wanted it to be better than any other gala in the history of Arms of Care. It was important for us to accomplish our three objectives: 1. Raise Funds for Arms of Care, 2. Show What the Lord Can Do When We Follow His Example, and 3. Light the Fire in You for Missions.

In order to do this required lots of prayers and lots of help from volunteers within the organization and without. In addition to the members of the planning committee, we leveraged Videographer Karin Lang to create the professional overview of the organization, decorator and event planner Latisha Seivright who not only beautifully decorated the room, but also provided signage, business cards, and

brochures for the org, DJ Majesty kept the music flowing and provided top notch audio equipment. On the day of the event, we had seven volunteers to help with registration, collecting donations, logistics, and clean up after the event. All performed their tasks with eagerness, professionalism, and humbleness. As they say, it takes a village and that was certainly the case for this year’s Gala.
